About your MAGA relatives...
"If you were to listen to the conversations I have with my dad, you'd think I'm the parent."

Happy Memorial Day. In this special long-weekend episode, Matt chats with Ravi Gupta, a former Obama staffer, school principal, and now a writer and podcaster. Ravi co-hosts "The Lost Debate" and "Majority 54" with Jason Kander, who has also appeared on TMAYF.
Ravi is also the producer and presenter of the Webby Award-winning podcast series "An Unbiased History of Israel-Palestine." Recently, he traveled to India to create a new limited podcast series called "Killing Justice," where he investigates the mysterious death of a judge and explores its broader political implications.
Ravi has made it his job to find ways of facilitating communication between people who are politically opposed. And, for the former Obama staffer and lifelong Democrat, there’s almost no one more different from him than his own father.
On today’s episode, he talks about growing up on Staten Island with a democrat mother and a republican father in a household in which conflict that eventually led his parents to divorce twice often took shape through political argument.
He also gives some expert advice on how to manage conversations with people who are either already extremely right wing or who are at risk of becoming so, and talks about how he’ll try and move forward if Trump wins in November, knowing his father will have voted to elect him.
